University Hospital Geneva (HUG) Project
2011
Collaboratif project with patients.
I wanted to open a space where individual experiences of hospitalization – a time of isolation, like an interlude – could be addressed and communicated. I asked a patient I knew well to write down a few sentences of her own experience, that I combined with my drawings and printed on cards. These cards were used as a gift and a prompt to generate discussion with the patients. I invited them to respond anonymously with a drawing or some words. My drawings served as a rupture to induce contemplation, and in this way operate a micro transformation in the patient’s day.
